Fillmore Florist San Francisco would like to take the time to be transparent with our customers and recipients as to what our operational procedures are during the COVID-19 pandemic. We think it’s a good idea to share our activities and lives with you all because, after all, we are serving the public. We feel a social responsibility and have a moral obligation to lead healthy lives not only for our own health but as well as for our customers health. We want our consumers to know that we respect their health as well as our own. We want you to know that we are very careful in our own personal lives not to contract the Coronavirus.In order for us to put our customers and the recipients at ease about our products and services we need to convey our daily routines and activities to you all. To do that we have to get a bit personal and that’s what this article is about. We want to reiterate that Fillmore Florist San Francisco is a family owned and operated business. What does that mean for you? There are two family members who will be handling/processing your floral orders who work together as well as live together who also practice social/physical distancing and obey the COVID-19 health care advice and recommendations. These three people are the designer (Katy, Mom), the manager (Fred, Dad), along with a driver and are the only people who touch your flower arrangements. Fillmore Florist San Francisco is your classic moms and pops shop. Our consumers can rest assured knowing that we, the family members who will be handling and processing your orders do not go to parties, social gatherings, eat out at restaurants and are always wearing a mask when outside for the duration of shelter-in-place order. In fact, the only times we go out is for groceries. We also update ourselves continuously with the news regarding COVID-19 and adopt ideas to help better combat and contain the coronavirus.
For the duration of the shelter-in-place order, Fillmore Florist San Francisco will not allow walk-in customers until further notice. You are able to place your order online or over the phone for either curb side pickups or delivery. The process of fulfilling your order is as follows; When you place your order online or over the phone, the designer will make your flower arrangement hours before delivery, and the driver will deliver your arrangement. The driver will be equipped with gloves, wet Clorox wipes and a mask. To minimize human interactions, upon arrival, the driver will leave your arrangements in the lobby or safe place in the building, then call, text or leave a voice mail for the recipient with directions as to how to retrieve the flower arrangement. You’ll also be happy to know that the driver will wipe the vase of flowers with Clorox wet wipes from top to bottom. Every surface area, square inch of the outside of the vase will be wiped. This last step will happen at the delivery destination so you can have the cleanest, most sanitized finished product.
With Mother’s day around the corner, there is demand for flower deliveries even during this epidemic. Not only that, we believe sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers is a great gesture and gift during this time of social/physical distancing. What better way to say you’re thinking about someone than with a beautiful flower arrangement? What better way to send love or wish your special someone a happy birthday from a distance? Remember, you can never go wrong with a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers.
Unfortunately, for the duration of the shelter-in-place order, we will not deliver to hospitals/health organizations and nursing homes.
